It was purchased by Andrew Carnegie who gives the name to the Carnegie Club which is an 'exclusive' members only club although non-members are welcome to stay for a once-only visit. The Carnegie Club has hosted a number of celebrity weddings including the weddings of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti and the wedding of Ewan MacGregor and golfer Sam Torrance.
